Love Theme presented two new editions published by Negative Press as well as a series of unique works made in collaboration between Anna Higgins and Negative Press.
Love Theme is influenced by musical improvisation, visual music and the evocation and reverie of multiple exposure and montage photography. At Negative Press, Anna worked with a process of open experimentation, with monoprinting, mark making and colour. The editions take the form of multiple impressions of monoprints, which have been scanned and combined with 16mm film stills, then finished as hand coloured screen prints on watercolour paper.
